While I am on the subject of insects…I recently came across this fascinating video of a spiders’ courting ritual. No wait, don’t click away just yet! It’s quite surreal, please give it a chance. These small, Australian Peacock Spiders are incredibly cute and colourful. I never thought I’d be using the words spider and cute in the same sentence but, there you go. And boy can they move. Proper little arachnid Michael Flatleys. Even the presenting skills of the Germanic/Aussi narrator adds a certain comic value… Go on, have a look!
