There were some interesting stalls among the vast array of vegetation at the Harvest Festival. Beautiful pottery from Patricia Howard, some fabulous yarns hand-spun by Eric and a great collection of wood craft from Niall O’Brien of Bridgetown.
Oh…and did I mention my prize winning courgettes. Third place is not bad – they may be small but they’re very shiny! Despite the dismal growing season all the classes in the gardening competition were full of fine veggie and flower specimens. Well done to all involved.
Do you have a Harvest Festival in your neighbourhood to celebrate the gardening year? I’d love to hear about similar events.

Well done !
Hi Karen my name is Anne Marie and we are in class with Margaret Nunn learning all about blogs. I really love your work and ideas.
Lovely to meet you Ann Marie : ) I’m glad you stopped by to leave a few kind words- they are much appreciated! Say hi to Margaret for me.
Hi,
My name is Catherine Stafford, from Tacumshane. I am in a communications class at the moment and all the lads in the class are learning about Blogs. I have enjoyed your picture of the sea and your comments on how to enjoy life and be good to yourself. I have no idea how to use blogs, but life is changing and I must change to keep up with technology.
Hi Catherine. Thanks so much for visiting Green Jam Jar and for the lovely comment. I’m sure you’ll be a blog whizkid by the time you have finished your course ; )
